Maitland Bay Track

1km each way (one-way route) Walking (medium difficulty)
The Maitland Bay Track is a short but steep walk that leaves the Maitland Bay Information Centre and winds its way down to Maitland Bay, skirting the littoral rainforest community known as Bouddi Grand Deep. This is one of the most popular walks in the park, however it's quite demanding on the way back up. Allow 15-20 minutes to get down and 30-40 mins to return.

Plant communities: dry eucalypt forests

Cultural heritage: At low tide you can still see some remains of the PS Maitland at the eastern end of Maitland Bay. Wrecked at Bouddi Point in the early hours of 6 May 1898, the Maitland was travelling from Sydney to Newcastle. Whilst 36 persons were rescued, it's thought that 15 passengers and 12 crew died.

Putty Beach Board Walk

Walking (easy difficulty)
Starts at the north end of Killcare Beach, which is called Putty Beach. Drive up to the car park, at the north end of Putty Beach Drive. A set of wooden stairs start the walk, which is an easy, scenic coastal walk along a maintained boardwalk. On a clear day, Sydney sky scrapers can be seen. Plant communities: dry eucalypt forests, coastal wildflowers
