History

In 2006, Coast and Country Properties, purchased the Bells property from Ian Bell. Ian was inspired by Cape Lodge in Margaret River and Yarra Valley’s Chateau Yering Station. The manor house and cottages sat amongst 8.5 acres of established gardens & presented a wonderful opportunity. Karina and Brian Barry, were invited by Coast and Country Properties to manage the existing B&B and assess its potential.

Inspired by the beauty and potential of Bells, they developed a vision to develop Bells as a luxury retreat with an authentic regional restaurant. To achieve this goal, they leased the property and worked with Coast and Country to renovate and develop the property. Stefano Manfredi and Julie Manfredi-Hughes came on board at this time to assist with the vision and redesign the entire dining experience.
