Manfredi at Bells Restaurant

The name MANFREDI is synonymous with modern Italian cuisine, with chef Stefano Manfredi operating restaurants under this banner for more than three decades. Our restaurant takes Manfredi’s urban sensibilities and transplants them to a quintessentially Australian contemporary coastal setting, just north of Sydney.

The restaurant has earned a reputation at the forefront of the New South Wales regional dining scene, since the Manfredi team took the helm and opened the restaurant in 2007. Located at the heart of the property, Manfredi at Bells commands a prominent position in the Manor House with an elegant dining room, intimate bar, private dining room and al fresco verandah overlooking the immaculate gardens.

The Manfredi at Bells menu is grounded in the core Manfredi values of authenticity, simplicity and freshness, featuring seasonal dishes inspired by the produce grown and harvested in the estate’s famous vegetable garden, known as Stefano’s Garden.

Now some 500 square metres including an orchid, honey bee hives and 50 free range hens, Stefano’s Garden supplies the restaurant with more than 15% of the produce on its menu ensuring sustainable practices across the entire Bells at Killcare operation. It was this garden that saw Manfredi at Bells honored with the Good Living Sustainability Award at the 2012 Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide Awards.

In addition to this estate-grown produce, the Manfredi at Bells menu features locally harvested seafood including Hawkesbury River oysters and crayfish caught off nearby Macmasters Beach, Gundooee Wagyu beef from the Central Tablelands and Bangalow Sweet Pork from the Northern Rivers. Local likeminded farmers are also supported supplying staples such as as organic beans and snow peas.

The 2012 Good Food Guide Awards also recognised the restaurant’s excellent wine list, naming it Best Regional Wine List for its impressive cellar and collection of both local and international – particularly Italian – wines.

Bells at Killcare inhouse guests enjoy breakfast seven mornings a week. The breakfast menu offers a delicious array of authentic hot dishes, estate-baked breads, tarts and pastries, homemade granola, hand made jams and preserves and freshly laid eggs from the Bells chooks.

For a true Manfredi culinary experience, a special degustation menu can be arranged for any kind of celebration, for lunch or dinner.

The current 5 course menu is $120 per person, or with matched wines $190 per person. (Dietary requirements can be accommodated for if we are aware prior to arrival).

Tuesday Night is Local's Night

Every Tuesday night, we offer a wonderful dining experience for our local guests and friends.

For $45 per person we have a seasonal 2 course menu on offer, which also includes a glass of fabulous wine! The wine on offer changes monthly. (The a la carte menu is also available if you prefer).

Please note, the locals menu is not available during peak trading periods (December 22 until first week of February), and is not available for large groups over 10 people.

Sunday Lunch - Family Feast

Every Sunday, Manfredi at Bells invites you to gather with family and friends for our famous Sunday Family Feast. A seasonal roast of the day is served ‘family style’ as shared platters, with fresh kitchen garden sides, for $70 per adult and $35 per child (3-13). The a la carte menu is also available, however please note that the whole table must be on the same menu. (Not available for dinner service).

Fish Friday

Join us for lunch every Friday for Fish Friday!

For only $35 per person you will receive our fish of the day, served with house-made bread, olives and sides of roast rosemary potatoes and garden salad.

Add a glass of Italian wine for just $5! A fabulous offer for locals and friends to come and join us for a delicious Friday lunch special.

Lunch is from 12noon.
