About Us

Pretty Beach House is a private guesthouse situated 100 kilometres north of Sydney on the Bouddi Peninsula. The property is set high on the escarpment above Pretty Beach and nestled into the Bouddi National Park.

Guests are welcomed as if in a private home, where all meals, snacks, beverages and a considered selection of alcoholic beverages are included, as part of the hospitality. With only three, one-bedroom pavilions surrounding the Main House on the seven and a half-acre property, guests are offered privacy with around-the-clock service.

The pavilions Treetops, Bayview and Hideaway have views through a mass of ancient angophoras and native eucalypts down onto the sparkling Brisbane Waters. The pavilions offer king bedrooms with separate dressing rooms, combustion log fires within an open-plan sitting areas oriented to take advantage of the views.

The dining and lounging areas and bathrooms lead onto private decks with day beds and heated plunge pools. The décor is simple and strong, with tub chairs in vintage leather, 1930’s travel trunks, hand crafted tables and fine Belgium linen. The Main House, situated in the heart of the property, has an atrium style dining and lounging area, intimate cocktail bar, wine cellar, open fireplace plus infinity pool and deck. Interiors complement the bushland surround, featuring local sandstone and recycled timbers. Local artists have taken advantage of the fallen angophora branches and created sculptures that feature throughout.

We offer transport for our guests to and from Pretty Beach, Wagstaffe, Hardys Bay and Killcare. Wagstaffe connects to the Palm Beach Ferries. Ferries run regularly to and from Palm Beach. All reservations must be guaranteed at time of booking by paying 50% of the total amount by credit card.

GUBBERA STONE $260 per person (1.5 hours)

These magical hand carved crystal stones from the Northern region of Western Australia are integrated into a treatment that is aligned with the rhythmic KODO massage, to tone and rebalance the body’s energy flow, calm the mind and relax the body to a state of bliss. Sublime in its delivery and powerfully healing on many levels the Gubbera rock is a true gift from our ancient land.

KODO $220 per person (1.5 hours)

Our signature massage.  A divine rhythmic body massage inspired by traditional Australian Aboriginal techniques that work to bring the body and mind back into balance therefore enhancing overall wellbeing. Together with the use of native aromatic oils, spiralling movements and pressure points this massage is the ultimate stress reliever and will perfectly compliment your stay at Pretty Beach House. Experience: sedating and grounding.

REMEDIAL $240 per person (1.5 hours)

Your well trained practitioner will bring their own form of therapeutic healing to the treatment table. Areas of tension and discomfort will be addressed in a caring and professional manner. (*Health fund rebates are available with some therapists. On booking please make a request for a therapist with a provider number.)

PREgnancy massage $190 per person (1 hour)

Your treatment will be performed by an experienced professional and will always be to the level of your comfort. Note:  It is suggested if there are any health concerns during your pregnancy, particularly if you are in the early stages, massage should not be considered.

MIKIRI FACIAL $230 per person (1 hour)

Using high performance LI’TYA products and ancient healing practices from the Australian Dreamtime this facial is designed to give an intensive boost to all skin types and will effectively combat conditions such as dehydration, dryness, congestion and sensitivities. After cleansing, the skin is exfoliated and treated with two specialised masks with the focus on purifying and skin drenching for rehydration. Pressure point face massage, Paudi Head massage and a choice of hand or foot massage make this a heavenly experience.
