What a splendid few days we spent at Pretty Beach House made all the more enjoyable by catching up with you again after all these years. The Pretty Beach House experience is second to none – accommodation, service and attention to detail and of course the unparalleled cuisine of Chef Manfredi!
You have a great team, faithful to your training and mentoring in that they strive for perfection in the performance of their duties – congratulations due to you and the team as a whole.

Dave and I just returned from Bells and Pretty Beach House. Well, what can I say…?

We loved Bells; a Hamptons meets Ralph Lauren experience, if I ever wanted my own little seaside cottage I know where to go, it brought back a bit of England with the beautiful hampers and the smell of wafting bacon in the morning coming from other guests homes! Manfredi’s cuisine was fabulous, catwalk stars of the sea and turf graced our plates until we waddled back to our cottage...

I do believe that Pretty Beach has ruined us forever, I may have lacked the grace of departing easily wanting to stay for another hour, another day or maybe never leave! The staff made us feel like a family, and balanced host and friend with grace whilst the treetops pavilion made the city grind disappear. We were there for only 48hrs yet it will leave an impression of a lifetime.

The beach house is located in the Bouddi National Park. There are easy walks to several beaches. Some of the beaches are practically unvisited by other tourists due to being out of the way. This is an area of exceptional natural beauty.

The facility itself is incredibly beautiful and relaxing. The rooms are cool, modern and soothing. They provide a variety of snacks and libations in your room included. The food is simple, fresh and delicious. The simplicity of the food belies the skill needed to prepare it. The freshness and quality of the ingredients can speak for itself. The selection is excellent and everything is prepared from scratch at the moment it is to be consumed. As mentioned in other reviews, the wine cellar provides a variety of good to excellent wines to be enjoyed ad hoc.

Regarding the service, they are there to make your stay great. As much or as little interaction as you want will be provided. During part of my stay, as the only guest there, there were three to five different people at any time doting over me.

There is not a whole lot to do here but it doesn't really matter because the place is so beautiful and relaxing. The staff are genuinely interested in the fulfillment of your stay. The natural beauty of the surroundings--blue water, scenic views of sandstone cliffs, beaches as smooth and pure as Elle McPherson's cheek-- will nourish your soul. I spent most of my time exploring the local area on foot and just relaxing in general. I left refreshed.

That said, you can be as active or passive as you like and there are plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities. I hiked, ran, swam, surfed and went on a Hunter valley wine tour while there.

I would recommend this place to anyone looking for luxury in New South Wales and would definitely go again.

Thank You for restoring our sanity; for giving us a night of sleep so deep it was like being in a coma. We went to sleep with the weight of the world on our shoulders and woke feeling like change-makers. It’s a beautiful location with perfect service. It’s a marriage-saving, mental clarifying, gastronomical paradise. DON’T MAKE ME LEAVE!!! We’ll be back, and the memory of Pretty Beach House will keep us going till next time. Feeling very tired and stressed my partner and i decided to return to Pretty Beach House. Two days here, is like a week. My batteries are recharged and i can face the busy time ahead. What wonderful service! Met by Kane, driven to and from the delightful Bells at Killcare for dinner by Kane at our leisure. Looked after like princess by Luca in the restaurant. Kane looking after all our driving and hotel needs. My only dissappointment is that I had to leave. Next time I will stay longer!
