Restaurant and Bar
Our restaurant is renowned for its authentic Italian cuisine offering world class hospitality with a strong focus on sustainability and seasonality. Take a culinary journey as you discover Italian delights from Spuntini at the bar, to a masterful selection of Antipasto, to a Five-Course Degustation experience shared with friends or family.
The restaurant has earned a reputation at the forefront of the New South Wales regional dining scene, since opening in 2007. With a team of passionate hospitality professionals, Bells Restaurant & Bar delivers fine seasonal foods, perfectly matched with an award-winning wine list.
Located at the heart of the hotel, the restaurant commands a prominent position in the Manor House possessing an elegant dining room, intimate bar, private dining room, an al fresco veranda overlooking the immaculate gardens and the Conservatory, a purpose-built event space.
The menu is grounded in the core values of authenticity, simplicity and freshness, featuring seasonal dishes inspired by the produce grown and harvested in the estate’s famous vegetable garden. In addition to this estate-grown produce, the menu showcases as many local producers, suppliers, winemakers and growers as possible. Locally harvested seafood includes freshly shucked oysters from Merimbula or Cape Hawke and crayfish caught off nearby Macmasters Beach. Our wagyu rump comes from north east Victoria and we source Cape Grim sirloin and Flinders Island lamb. Local likeminded farmers are also supported supplying staples such as organic beans and snow peas. Our olive oil and flours are imported from Italy to ensure quality and authenticity are upheld.
Now some 500 square metres including an orchid, honey bee hives and free range hens, the garden supplies the restaurant with more than 15% of the produce on its menu ensuring sustainable practices across the entire operation.
The restaurant’s excellent wine list has been named "Best Regional Wine List" several times over for its impressive cellar and collection of both local and international, particularly Italian, wines.
Bells at Killcare in-house guests enjoy a hot cooked breakfast seven mornings a week. The breakfast menu offers a delicious selection of hot dishes, estate-baked breads, tarts and pastries, homemade granola, orchard grown avocados, home grown herbs, handmade jams and preserves and freshly laid eggs from the chooks.

I am passionate about our wine list
It is an accumulation of influences from 30 years experience in the wine industry
It brings together the joy of Italian wine and food
It was Len Evans who said that he never drank great wine by himself
And that the real joy of great wine was in the sharing
It is hoped our wine list assists in a great sharing experience
Our bar is open from 5pm daily and offers a range of antipasto, spuntini & cocktails.
