SPECIAL GUESTS
Kate Perkins Founder & Lead Educator OncoLaser
Kate is an internationally recognised cancer rehabilitation specialist and clinical Photobiomodulation Therapy (PBMT) educator. After years treating cancer survivors living with the lasting physical effects of their treatment, she saw the same barrier repeatedly: extraordinary clinical tools were available, but the confidence and education to use them well in oncology settings were not. She founded OncoLaser to close that gap — building the clinical excellence pathway she wished she'd had earlier in her own career, and now mentors clinicians around the world in the safe, evidence-informed application of PBMT for cancer rehabilitation. “My mission is to empower healthcare professionals to bring evidence-informed, confidence-building care to every patient living with the effects of cancer treatment.” Kate is also the founder and lead clinician of Cancer Rehabilitation & Lymphatic Solutions in Erina, on the Central Coast. She is also co-founder of ThermaCalm, having developed a specialised cooling towel to help people combat heat generated from radiation therapy, chemotherapy and hormone treatment induced menopause hot flushes.
